We have taken two excursions with Trafalgar. The primary, to Peru, was nice. We simply received again from the second, a tour of Eire and Scotland. Once more the tour was fantastic, the director was glorious. We had fun.
We might booked the tour, the flights, and the insurance coverage by means of Trafalgar (through a journey agent), so we thought all was effectively.
At 10:30PM over the last night of the tour in Edinburgh, Scotland, I acquired an e-mail from British Airways informing me that our flight the following morning was be canceled (resulting from an issue at Heathrow that day) The e-mail directed me to contact BA which I did. The issue wasn’t with being stranded in Edinburgh for an additional day–an further day there would normally be pleasant. The issue was that Edinburgh was internet hosting its marathon the following day, with about 90,000 people coming to city. There have been completely no resort rooms in Edinburgh, and the native radio was suggesting keep at house resulting from visitors snarls, and so forth. We would have liked to get out of Edinburgh that day or sleep in a park in a single day. If we survived the night time we would be unable to get to the airport as a result of marathon.
The parents at Trafalgar first did not consider the story in regards to the marathon till they known as again and talked to the Resort entrance desk which apparently satisfied them. Then they supplied me the closest resort room, within the city of Pitlochry, about 35 miles away, which they claimed was in Edinburgh. And, it was my accountability to contact the resort, prepare transportation to and from there, and so forth. Now perceive that a part of what was included within the tour was all airport transfers.
I prompt they get us to Glasgow, solely 40 miles away and possessing it is personal airport. They would not hear of that.

So we booked a room in Glasgow, took a bus there (it picked up up actually in entrance of our resort and delivered us to a really good bus station in Glasgow in a bit over an hour for the a bit over 6 kilos an individual). The following morning all went effectively with BA and we’re again.
So, what was their accountability? They appeared to assume they did not have any regardless of the tour bundle not but being accomplished. They weren’t keen to be of any helpful assist in both making helpful preparations nor helping in another means.
Our journey agent is disgusted as effectively. She’s amazed that provided that Trafalgar supplied the tour, the air journey and the insurance coverage, that it did not consider it was chargeable for offering that for which it’d been paid.
Till that night we had been followers of Trafalgar… now we aren’t.
