Hurghada Worldwide Airport (IATA: HRG, ICAO: HEGN) is the worldwide airport of Hurghada in Egypt. It’s situated inland, 5 km (3.1 mi) southwest of El Dahar, the downtown of Hurghada. It’s the second busiest airport in Egypt after Cairo Worldwide Airport and an essential vacation spot for leisure flights primarily from Europe.

Terminal[edit]

The airport at the moment has two passenger terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Building of the brand new terminal advanced price $335 million, which was primarily financed by the Arab Fund for Financial Growth. Egypt’s aviation minister, Houssam Kamal, stated that the airport would have the ability to host as much as 13 million guests yearly.[3][4] The undertaking was inaugurated by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on December 17, 2014.[5] The brand new terminal has a complete space of 92,000 sq. meters on three ranges. The departure corridor has 72 check-in counters and 20 departure gates.[citation needed]
